| General Santos bomb boys say they trained in Malaysia |

| Claims by detained Filipino bomb suspects that they were trained in Malaysia have given rise to speculation here about coordinated training involving different militant groups in the region. The two were detained on Monday after a series of explosions rocked the southern Philippine port city of General Santos. A Philippine National Police spokesman said in Manila on Tuesday that the two detained men confessed to being part of a group of 10 who trained in Malaysia. The authorities here are interested in finding out where in Malaysia they could have been trained and whether their trainers were Malaysians. Bet they're real interested. The Malaysians started out not taking this terror war very seriously, then smarted up when they started turning up in herds in their own country and Singapore. |
