| Palestinians killed in border clash |

| Three Palestinians were killed early Friday after one of them threw grenades at Israeli police guards at a checkpoint, between the Gaza Strip and Israel, and the guards returned fire, the army spokesman reported. The incident occurred at 6:30 a.m., when the militant joined workers waiting to enter the joint Israeli-Palestinian industrial zone at the Gaza Strip's northern tip. The attacker hurled three grenades at policemen, who shot back, a military source said. One Israeli was lightly wounded. A Palestinian security statement said the men killed were Palestinian workers shot as part of the tough measures Israel has imposed on the Gaza Strip. Palestinians officials said a 13-year-old boy was killed and five members of his family were wounded when the Israeli army blew up their house near the West Bank town of Jenin. The Israel Defense Forces spokesman, however, said he was not aware of any such incident. |
