30 rounded up in attacks on tourists |

A bomb disposal squad of NWFP police has discovered a pin and a lever of a locally-made hand-grenade and a dynamite near the site of Saturday’s attack in which 13 people including nine European tourists were injured. They were recovered by the bomb disposal squad NWFP. Meanwhile, local police have rounded up dozens of activists of banned Jehadi outfits, defunct Sepah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) and Afghan refugees for interrogation. "LeGume!" "Yes, Inspector?" "Round up the usual suspects!" Later, at a Press briefing, the IGP Saeed Khan told reporters that both the devices used in the attack were made locally and were of low intensity, which were hurled on the tourists from a considerable distance and exploded in the air above the roofs of the Ashoka relics. I think the translation of "Sipah-e-Sahaba" is "Bloodthirsty Ignorant Goobers' Association," but I'm not sure... |
