News from the Other Side: Merkins run away from Spin Boldak |
2002-08-05 |
Source: Azzam At least 400 U.S. troops have evacuated the border region of Spin Boldak and fled to their base in Kandahar on Friday and Saturday. These troops had been stationed in Spin Boldak and it is believed this move was because of increasing U.S. Military fears that another martyrdom operation would be carried out as was done to their base in Kandahar, which caused massive damage a few days back. It is believed that the U.S. troops had gathered in Spin Baldak, heavily equipped, apparently to launch a major operation against Al-Qaida Mujahideen in this area. A number of checkpoints and bunkers had been made over the past few weeks. However, the U.S. have now fled the region in fear of having a deadly martyrdom operation inflicted upon them. "Oh, Lawsie! Help us! It's the al-Qaeda mujahideen!" "Quick! Run away! Run away!" |
