MP Says U.K. Planning ''Crusader Invasion'' of Iraq |
2002-08-05 |
U.K. Labor MP George Galloway, who was traveling to Baghdad on Sunday, August 4, for talks with members of the Iraqi administration, criticized the upcoming war against Iraq saying that a âquarter-million man crusader invasionâ of Iraq is being planned just because a âparticular dictator doesnât obey our ordersâ. "Crusader invasion"... Hmmm... Crusaders... Where have we heard that before? Thanks for yore support, Mr Galloway... âWe have a political dispute with the Iraqi leadership and we have killed one million of their children under sanctions. I just think that is completely immoral. I think it stinks,â he told BBCâs Radio 4. Is this guy angling for a job with the UN when he leaves Parliament? Or just in Brussels? |
