| British Capture Iraqi General in Basra |

| Edited for length A general from Saddam Hussein's army has been captured in southern Iraq and is being pressed to provide strategic information, British officers said Sunday. Group Capt. Al Lockwood, a British spokesman, said the Iraqi general was captured in the besieged city of Basra — the highest-ranking Iraqi prisoner of war thus far. "We'll be asking him quite politely if he's willing assist us to continue our operations against the paramilitary forces in Basra," Lockwood said. Lockwood also said Royal Marine Commandos killed a Republican Guard colonel who apparently was sent to Basra to strengthen the resolve of the defense forces, who are encircled by British troops. |

| #3 Robin Cook is an ass. Everything is coming into the light. Al Quaeda is in Iraq. That alone is enough for us to go in; Sammy definately is sponsoring terrorism. It hasn't as yet come to light if he has WMD, but we'll know for certain once the we get to Bagdad. Obviously, the war is going our way. We control the show; they pop they're heads up and we pin them down. |

| #2 Royal Marine Commandos seem to be doing some very interesting missions. Scragging command staff and blowing up statues and such. Sending the message that we can come and get you anytime we want. Maybe tomorrow... Maybe not... |
