KUWAIT CITY - Two Kuwaiti supporters of the Al Qaeda terror network have been arrested in connection with the suicide blasts in Saudi Arabia that left 34 people dead last month, a newspaper reported on Sunday. Quoting Kuwaiti security sources, Al-Rai Al-Aam said the two men were arrested âin the framework of investigationsâ into the May 12 attacks on expatriate housing compounds in Riyadh. The newspaper identified the two only by the initials L.S.H. and F.A. Kuwaiti authorities were still pursuing an undisclosed number of people whose names were provided to a Kuwaiti security delegation that recently visited Riyadh, the daily said. âThese names were extracted from investigations by Saudi authorities with a number of suspects held in connection with the blasts,â it added. The sources did not rule out that the Kuwaitis arrested, or those still at large, could be directly connected to the deadly bombings or that they may have been accomplices. Saudi authorities have said more than 20 people with suspected links to the suicide bombings have been arrested.
