KABUL: Afghanistan on Monday rejected allegations by Pakistani authorities that terrorists with links in Afghanistan were behind a recent attack on a Quetta mosque that left 50 people dead. The Afghan Foreign Ministry described the allegations as âbaseless and unwarranted.â
"Nope. Nope. Wudn't us. Heh heh!" | On Friday, Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat blamed terrorists with âroots in Afghanistan.â
"No terrorist with roots in Pakistan would do such a thing! Well, not many of them, anyway..." | âIt is incumbent upon both governments to pursue their quest for expanded relations and cooperation and avoid actions or statements that needlessly complicate bilateral ties,â the foreign ministry statement said. |
