Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Saturday dismissed as âfalse and baselessâ allegations from the Indian Army chief that Pakistan is training âMuslim secessionistsâ and sending them into Indian-administered Kashmir.
"Who? Us? Certainly not!" | âIt is a concerted propaganda effort from India designed to malign the image of Pakistan and undermine its efforts to combat terrorism,â the minister told reporters. âNo militant training camp is operating on Pakistani soil and the infiltration accusations are simply wrong.â
Then his lips fell off... | âThe Kashmir movement is indigenous and being carried on by locals whose rights India has usurped,â he said. âPakistan will continue its moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmirisâ just cause against Indian subjugation.â Mr Ahmed reiterated that Pakistan is a âfrontline stateâ in the global war against terrorism and its sincerity in this effort is âbeyond doubtâ. âPakistan wishes to resolve all its disputes with India peacefully and is fully prepared to engaged in a comprehensive dialogue with India on all outstanding issues including the core issue Kashmir,â he said.
Then he turned into a pillar of salt and said no more... |
