Reuters revamped - layoffs imminent | |

Yes, this is old news, but it’s good to see change at Reuters. As a Reuters shareholder, I am delighted at the cost cuts at this money-losing division. As a private citizen, I am happy to hear that an American has been appointed head honcho of the Reuters news division. Reuters Group PLC is shaking up its editorial department, The Financial Times reports on its Web site Monday. According to the report, the global head of news, Stephen Jukes, is leaving effective immediately, and more than a dozen other editors and managers will lose their jobs or be redeployed.
