Israel threatens Syria with ârenewed actionâ |
2003-10-19 |
A top Israeli defence official Saturday threatened Syria with renewed âactionsâ for its alleged role in supporting terrorist groups. âThe magnitude of Syrian support to Damascus-based groups is more significant that we had imagined and has to stop,â said Major General Amos Gilad, who head the defence ministryâs political department. Referring to the air strike he said that âif the message failed to get through, the situation will be re-assessed and necessary action will be taken.â |

#3 Sounds to me like a warning shot instead of a plea. I'm not privy to the futures...but I'd be willing to wager over 50% that Israel has already counted to two and Syria will get that spanking at the same time Israel says "three". None of that one, two, three....I'm going to spank you if you do that again! Just one, two (smack) three. |

#1 Tough call for Israel... smack 'em hard now, or wait for Dubya make his moves? I'd suggest just dealing Iran a nuke program setback for now and letting Dubya decapitate Iran in 2005. Syria/Lebanon is an easier clean-up after its terrorists lose their major backer. |
