Rather gives better Lewinsky than Lewinsky
2004-06-21
I would never have thought I would see the day when the NY Times beats the hell out of something The Clintons have done. They make this book sound worse than a bad comic book, they make it sound as they struggled to say anything "nice".

From what I have been reading, Dan Blather interview could be the best thing that happens to Clinton during the "Summer of Bill".

Very long, but RTWT as they say.

#9  LH - it can't be worse than my degree of loathing for the NYT. When I'm forced to think about them at all.

#8  B and BAR- the NYT and Howell Raines were always negative on Clinton. They never forgave him for supporting welfare reform. Stephen is not only right, he understates the degree of loathing from the NYT towards Clinton.

#3  It is just a great rantburg day, NO?

First NMM aka DBT is defending the argument that someone should have done something to stop Pakistan and Saudi Arabia because there were LINKS! LINKS! I TELL YOU, between AQ and their countries. Bwahahahahhahaaaa! (Shhhh! they don't get that they are making mockeries of their reaction to the 9/11 commission).

Second...continuing today's theme of BJs...it is sooo fun watching the same crowd, whose only regret during the debacle that we called, "The Clinton Administration" was that they, themselves, could not BE Monica......

...trip all over themselves to turn on their beloved Clinton. Now that he's no longer any use to them politically, they are turning on him with a fury that the Right Wing Conspiracy could never have hoped to muster. The gruesome spectacle of them feeding on the corpse of what remains of the "Clinton Legacy" is grotesque, yet compelling to watch.

#2  Interesting speculation by Stephen.

A similar hypothesis could account for the very negative interview the BBC gave Clinton.

#1  The NYTimes has it in for Bill because there is residual feeling he betrayed left as President(example Welfare reform)and more importantly now,he doesn't attack Bush over Iraq.Don't attack Bush,no praise for you from NYTimes.
