#6 If any of the Editors show up, all they need to do is delete comment #1 under this story: http://www.rantburg.com/Default.asp?D=7/5/2004&C=-Short Attention Span Theater-#37225 And all will be well. Broken HTML. No big deal, really. Use Page 2 as your "home" and it looks wonderful again. |

#3 One of the first things the new "king" did was to give amnesty to all of the Islamist exiles that the Emir had rooted out and tossed. They've come home, now, and have taken up where they left off - trying to turn Bahrain into a Shari'a State. Recall the demonstrations that began within months of the "king" being enshrined? Bingo. I miss the Emir - he was an interesting, tough, and pragmatic guy. |

#1 "King" Hamad and PM Khalid, who have made every effort to undo everything the Little Emir accomplished over 50 years, will have lots of available housing soon - to put their 'Slamists in, I guess. I'm sure their merchant community will prolly thank them profusely for ridding them of the annoying Expats and their filthy American money, too. More kumbahya. |
