Oil Pipeline Sabotage In Iraq |

posted late August 3rd, 2004 Oil exports through northern Iraq have been halted after an attack on a main pipeline. Officials from the Northern Oil company say an explosive device was placed close to a network of pipelines to the west of Kirkuk, causing a big explosion and huge fires. They say the main pipeline running from the area to the Turkish port of Ceyhan has been damaged and exports halted. Firefighters are still battling the raging fires. |
