| BugMeNot Gets Booted, Restored - Whew! |

| via Wired News (h/t Lucianne) EFL Rachel Metz - 09:30 AM Aug. 23, 2004 PT BugMeNot.com, a site that helps web users get around website registration roadblocks, is back up after disappearing for several days because of server hosting issues. In an e-mail late Friday afternoon, the site's creator -- an Australian who has refused to disclose his identity for fear of legal repercussions -- wrote, "Bugmenot went down because our host pulled the plug inexplicably. I'm guessing external pressure." ...more... I'm guessing he's dead right. I thought about posting this under Fifth Column. That may be where it belongs... |
