Oriental girls do not have lovely butts. Too flat, on average.

#32  Good comments above, glad Arnold made it possible to post this. Letting illegal aliens in to gain voters on the Dem plantation (bilingual ed, race warfare, etc.) is the cynical refuge the Donks fall to try and stay in power. They only have something ideological to offer to "dependent" groups, hence the Nanny State. I also would like to see meployer sanctions (fines and jail) for those who knowingly encourage illegal influx. The day a terror strike comes across the borders (Canadian is becoming as bad as Mexico - CA's border is tough to cross, actually) is the day the military gets placed on teh border an illegal immigration gets taken seriously. Til then, these assholes like Cedillo spit on the hard work and effort other Mexicans, Filipinos, Chinese, et al go through willingly to become fellow citizens. He should be shamed into hiding

#30  lex: Let's hope the dominant non-European influence is Asian rather than Mexican.

Can't agree with you there. Oriental girls are lovely, but. The big but is that Mexicans can assimilate much easier because they are basically Americans with a Spanish accent. We need to weed out the illegals, but Hispanics of all backgrounds are well-represented in the military and can be counted upon to be loyal to this country. How often do you hear of Hispanics spying against this country, relative to their numbers? Compare that to the number of Asians involved in the same activity, and it is clear that Hispanics are in the long run better for this country. A lot of Asians come here with chips the size of cinder blocks on their shoulders about racial superiority and a bunch of other nonsense. Hispanics believe in assimilation. Not so with Asians, who seem to think they can carve out a colony in these United States.

#29  I'm not banking on social security on the backs of immigrants to provide me [retirement income], Lex. My investments in IRA's, TSPs, and hard work will ensure that happens.

Still the same ultimate source. Stock prices for Dell and WalMart and HomeDepot and Citigroup etc will rise only if there's growing demand for their products, which, Asian demand notwithstanding, remains overwhelmingly domestic in nature. And domestic demand growth depends on population growth among young, high birthrate immigrants and their children. Go toa BestBuy this weekend and do a quick count of the relative number of white and non-white consumers there. If you live anywhere outside of the Great Plains, I'd bet your tallies come out 50-50.

So regardless of the form your savings and investment plan takes, its health is still heavily dependent on continued high population, ie immigration, growth. btw This is another reason our domestic economy is bouyant while Europe's sucks.... bless the immigrants-- they're America's secret economic weapon. BUT DON't TELL THE EUROS!!! DESTROY THIS POST

#28  the American culture we like now may not be what our grandchildren will experience

Aside from the part about what "we like", I agree totally with the above. Without question this nation will cease to be Eurocentric within another generation or two-- certainly not demographically or politically, perhaps not culturally either. But I don't see us scrapping our Enlightenment heritage, by any stretch.

Let's hope the dominant non-European influence is Asian rather than Mexican. Seems to be headed that way. The young turks on Wall Street and in Silicon Valley already are about one-third asian-american, and State and CIA and Congress will reflect this shift as well in another generation.

#27  First, I could care less what people speak on their front porch, I'm pretty libertarian in that what you do in your house is your business -that's not at issue - what's at issue is doing the bilingual b.s. in school on my taxpaying dime or on the stupid atm's.

Second, "Y'all want to be able to retire someday, don't you?", I'm not banking on social security on the backs of immigrants to provide me this, Lex. My investments in IRA's, TSPs, and hard work will ensure that happens. Along w/20 yrs of mil service and not spending my cash like some damn fool and going so far in debt I can't get out of it. Also, beware of the law of unitntended consequences when pulling in a high-birthrate non-assimilated populace for the sake of staving off a supposed demographic catastrophe - the American culture we like now may not be what our grandchildren will experience.

#26  Woops, sorry for not including the last sentence referring to retirement.
Posted by: Bomb-a-rama   2004-09-23 5:54:43 PM

#25  I might also point out that only the prospect of continued high immigration by high-birthrate non-European immigrants will spare this country the demographic catastrophe that will soon bite Europe.

Not unexpected, since they're heavy into the socialist BS.

We aren't.......yet.

#23  The kids speak English. Most latino parents are dead set against bilingual education and have voted against it repeatedly when given the chance. No real difference from the other waves of great unwashed immigrants we've absorbed in past centuries.

Chill, amigos.
Posted by: lex   2004-09-23 5:26:20 PM

#22  Indeed, everyone should speak English, it's what God wants.

Give a wog the flat of your sword and you have an enemy, teach a wog English and you have a fine Circle K employee.

Now, where's that damn parrot.

Posted by: WS Churchill   2004-09-23 5:22:46 PM

#21  No, no need to make English the "official" language. I don't have any problem with people speaking whatever language they want, so long as they're Americans (and Arnie's definition, from his RNC speech, works fine for me). Everyone should speak English, as it's the way to get ahead in this country, but if you want to sit on the front stoop and jabber away in Polish, Spanish or Hmong, it's no skin off my fore.

Motor Voter is a travesty and should be repealed. You want to register to vote? Picture ID and a proof of citizenship, thankyee. You want a drivers license? Picture ID and proof of citizenship/permanent residency, thankyee. You want another major substantial favor from Uncle Sugar? Picture ID and proof of citizenship, thankyee.

See the pattern?

#20  This is just terrible! Mr. Davis told me, just before he was driven out, that this would happen and the Democrats would rue the day they deserted him for Mr. "Let me pump you up." Now look at what the wack job fascists like Cyber Sarge want to do! Next thing you know he'll be demanding that people have to prove they're alive before they can even register! I told Willy Brown it would come to this. But did he listen? Noooooo.

#17  Cedillo : Your bill has been Terminated!

GO ARNIE!

#16  RN - damn right. I would say that people on welfare should not be allowed to vote (citizen, resident, or not).

Now where did I place my asbestos shorts......
Posted by: CrazyFool   2004-09-23 12:46:52 PM

#15  These folks aren't illegal "immigrants" - they're illegal aliens - an expression that the media conspicuously shies away from from these days.
Posted by: Zhang Fei   2004-09-23 12:46:17 PM

#14  The illegals tend to congregate in cities where they are welcomed and not hassled. In the main, these cities provide “bennies” of all kinds for no reason other than they are demanded. As the demand for freebies rise, the out of pocket hit to legal residents goes up.

Now, I have no problem with helping someone out who's down on their luck. But at the same time, as long as they are on the dole, I believe they should not be in a position to "vote" themselves a raise, by supporting politicians who buy their vote, to retain political power.

At some point the taxpayers should rebel and demand a change. If not, they deserve exactly what they get.
Posted by: RN   2004-09-23 12:36:53 PM

#13  Vigilance, please. That jerk Cedillo is going to try again, and he's pretty much said so.
Posted by: Bomb-a-rama   2004-09-23 12:32:25 PM

#12  Hear, hear CS. There is real consensus on this issue, and as it gains momentum, watch for the Donks to scream "Profiling!" Well, yeah.
Posted by: Rex Mundi   2004-09-23 12:26:05 PM

#11  I agree CS. I would/have also add that they are *not* immigrants - they have not been granted immigrant status and every use of 'illegal immigant' or 'undocumented immigrant' sullies all the legal immigrants who have worked (and waited) hard to come here and are welcome to our shores.
Posted by: CrazyFool   2004-09-23 12:15:31 PM

#10  I'm in total agreement w/Cyber Sarge. No more baby gloves with this issue.
Posted by: Jarhead   2004-09-23 10:47:03 AM

#9  Next we need to pass a voter ID law. Prove your citizenship BEFORE you get to vote. Also make ENGLISH the official Language. All official business should be done in ENGLISH. Pandering to different languages invites abuse from illegal immigants (they are NOT 'undocumented aliens'). Any other country in the world would ask nothing less than you to learn the language of the country you want to reside.

#7  Maybe I should move to California. I have been married to an American for 23 years and I have been a legal resident for that long but I cannot vote. And I do want to vote in this election!!!

I understand there is a process for becoming a citizen. They even let you vote when you're done.
Posted by: Robert Crawford   2004-09-23 9:40:39 AM

#6  Good for him. This is a sneaky way for the Democrats to get illegal aliens (they are not immigrants dammit!) to be able to vote.

A6134 - you should go for citizenship in order to vote. Only U.S. citizens are allowed to vote in federal elections. Legal residents or illegal aliens cannot (in spite of what the Democrats want).

#5  I was waiting to have my son so he could have dual citizenship. After he was born, we have been in and out of the country. Never in longer than 2 years. We are back for good so as soon as I complete the required amount of time, I am applying for it!

#4  A-6134, perhaps after all this time you should at least go for dual citizenship!

#2  Tied to the issue of licenses is the Motor Voter registration fiasco. The Dems are really pissed because this effectively stops the pass through. Pass thru the DMV, exit a registered Democrat!

OOPS! Not so fast there Francisco!
Posted by: RN   2004-09-23 8:36:39 AM

#1  This is why he won the recall, and the Mexican Fifth Column Democratic members of the CA Legislature will whine and cry racism when their constant push on this issue is used against them in the election. Trying to blur the lines and status of achieving real citizenship in order to gain illegal votes. Bastards. Club em like baby seals
