An Israeli helicopter fired missiles Sunday at a suspected weapons workshop in the area of a recent mortar attack that killed an Israeli-American woman. Two Palestinians were slightly injured, witnesses and medical officials said.
The army said the target was a metal workshop used by Hamas militants to make mortar bombs like the one that struck the Jewish settlement of Neve Dekalim on Friday. The helicopter fired two missiles at the building in Khan Younis, a refugee camp bordering the settlement. Israel frequently targets such workshops, claiming they supply rockets and other weapons to militants. |
