| Camel sold for $234,000 | |

A female camel has been sold in Oman for RO90,000 ($234,000), the official Oman News Agency (ONA) reported yesterday. The transaction took place in the wilayat of Al Kamil wal Wafi in the eastern Sharqiya region. ONA said the buyer was a UAE citizen, but did not give his name. 'Bint Mashhoor', the camel, owned by Shaikh Hamoud bin Nassir Al Hashmi, recently won the first position in a three-kilometre race in the region, finishing in four minutes and 25 seconds.ÂÂ
