The November 8 issue of The New Yorker includes a long profile, written by Elsa Walsh, about Maureen Baginski, who has headed the FBI's Office of Intelligence since May 2003. For the previous three years she was the NSA's Chief of Staff and Chief of Signals Intelligence. She served in a variety of NSA positions since about 1977. The article includes a lot of interesting information about the US Government's war against terrorism from the perspectives of Ms. Baginski and some of her colleagues. The article is not available on-line, but you can buy the magazine for about $5. |
