"Yo! Over here! Pay attention to us!" | An Islamic militant group holding three United Nations (UN) workers hostage in Afghanistan has renewed its deadline for its demands to be met. A man claiming to speak for the group, Army of Muslims, says if no decision were forthcoming later today, a decision about what to do with the hostages would be referred to his tribal council. The group wants to swap the UN workers for 26 prisoners. It has set and broken a series of deadlines for the killing of its captives in the past. |
