Russian forces in Chechnya killed two armed men who were reportedly planning a "terrorist operation" in Grozny, the capital of the breakaway republic, the interfax news agency said Monday. Interfax quoted Russian security sources as saying the Federal forces killed the two men after they refused to stop. They added that the Russian forces found in the car, boarded by the two men, an explosive device and some machineguns. The sources said the men were planning to carry out a "terrorist operation" in Grozny. |
