| GSPC kills 2 cops |

| Two Algerian military policemen have been killed and four others wounded in an ambush by Islamic rebels, state radio said on Sunday. The policemen came under rebel gunfire at a checkpoint near a hotel in the coastal province of Boumerdes, 50 km (31 miles) east of the capital Algiers, on Friday night, the radio said. Algerian officials and media blame the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), Algeria's largest Islamic armed group, for attacks on government forces. |
