| Conspiracy charge for July 21 suspect |

| BRITISH police charged a 24-year-old man overnight with conspiracy to murder on London's public transit system on July 21, and possession of an explosive substance. Yassin Hassan Omar, 24, from north London, will appear in court on Monday over the charges -- the first stemming directly from a failed attempt on July 21 to repeat the July 7 bombings, which left 56 people dead. In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said Omar was charged with conspiring with others unknown, on or before July 21, "to murder passengers on the transport for London system". |
