A reconnaissance group of the special task force of the Chief Intelligence Agency (GRU) has destroyed physically three militants in Chechnya, including a mercenary from Turkey, a representative of the information and public relations department of the Russian Defence Ministry told Itar-Tass on Friday. âA reconnaissance group of the GRU special task force detected and destroyed physically three militants near the village of Selmentauzen, Vedeno District, Chechnya, on November 18. They had with them fire arms, ammunition and communication facilities,â the Defence Ministry official said. âOne of the militants had a Turkish passport on him (TRL series, No. 929660) to the name of Topli Sakhin, born on August 10, 1976. There are notes in the passport, which show that he legally crossed the Turkish-Georgian border on many occasions. |
