| Stephen Harper was sworn in as Canada's 22nd prime minister yesterday, as for the first time in more than 12 years the Conservative Party rules the traditionally liberal nation. The 46-year-old economist has pledged to cut taxes and clean up government. Welcome, Mr. Harper. Now get out there and defend those borders! And watch out, the Grits won't take their defeat lying down. |
