France, Spain, Turkey Join Russian Surrender to Hamas
2006-02-10
France on Friday expressed support for Russia's initiative to invite Hamas leaders to Moscow.

A spokesman for the French Foreign Ministry said that although the invitation was offered by Russia without consulting the other members of the Quarter, the move did not contradict their values and goals regarding the Middle East.

The French representative expressed his belief that talks between Russia and Hamas may serve to advance the Quartet's goals of establishing two nations [Israel and Palestine] living side-by-side in peace and security, Israel Radio reported.

#4  The "radicalization" process only works in one direction. If anyone can point to a "once radical" (i.e. jihadi / Jooo hating / Great Satan hating) organization which is now a proven peaceful and constructive force, I'd be happy to hear it.

There is no 101st Moderate Muslim Brigade, no Tigers of Islamic Toleration, no civic group who will actually stand in the face of a jihadi and demand "Get thee hence!", no Honest Muzzy Broker.

Day has dawned for some, but there are sooo many who have been sold the Anti-West, Anti-American, Anti-Freedom bill of goods - and all things contrary are denied publicity - and led by agents of that coalition of convenience, the "Ists", who see no further than the end of their noses and seek nothing less than the downfall of this last outpost of Freedom.

Mankind can be one stupid sumbitch, methinks.

#3  Hamas demonstrates the change, then people talk to Hamas, not before. Elementary.

#1  Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said the international community should give radical Islamist group Hamas the chance to show it may change, following its stunning victory in the Palestinian elections.

"Hamas should be given a chance. Its way should not be blocked by prejudice. Its future attitudes may launch a process different from what it has been so far," Erdogan was quoted as saying in Davos, Switzerland.
