LARKANA: At least 758 Pakistani citizens who were deported from various Gulf countries arrived in Karachi on Friday. They were allowed to leave after immigration officials checked their travel documents issued to them by the Pakistan embassy in Muscat.
"This passport's written in crayon!"
"Try this one."
"Who drew this picture? It don't even look like you!"
"Well, then, try this one."
"Oh, much better. Y'know, you don't look Samoan..." | Some of the Pakistanis had been held in Oman for varying periods. The deportees said that they entered the Gulf States after illegally crossing the Pakistan-Iran border. |
