When they reached the village, the accomplices of the PBCP leaders opened fire on the law enforcers, prompting them to retaliate.
Rab sources said Fazal and Muktar received bullets during the "shootout". They were taken to Naogaon Hospital where the doctors declared them dead. Fazal, son of Abdur Rahim of Damdama village, and Miuktar, son of Abdul Gafur of Bhar Tetulia village in Atrai upazila, were wanted in 30 cases on twelve systems including six for murder and 14 for extortion. RAB recovered a rifle and a revolver from the scene. |
