Mr. Saeed was placed under house arrest on August 10 for a period of one month. In a statement, JuD spokesman Yahya Mujahid said police arrived at Mr. Saeed's Lahore home at 1 a.m. on Thursday with a letter authorising them to take him away. Mr. Mujahid said Mr. Saeed's son asked for a copy of the letter but the police would not give him one.
