| Breaking: Principal shot at Wisconsin school |

| CAZENOVIA, Wis. - The principal was shot several times at a rural Wisconsin school Friday morning, sheriff's deputies confirmed. All the children at Weston School were reported safe, Sauk County sheriff's Capt. Michael Haifemann also said. The principal was apparently shot several times, Haifemann said. The principal's condition was not immediately known. Local TV station WKOW-TV said the suspect was a former student armed with multiple weapons. School district officials told NBC News affiliate WMTV the Weston School principal was flown to a hospital for treatment. WMTV also reported that the high school wing of the campus was in lock down. Busses were evacuating students. The campus also encompasses a middle school. |
