KABUL: A suicide bomber blew himself up in front of the Afghan Interior Ministry in Kabul on Saturday, killing 12 people and injuring more than 50. Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, but police insisted it was a suicide attack. Police said the attacker detonated explosives strapped to his body in a crowd of Interior Ministry staff and civilians at the compound's gate. The Health Ministry said more than 50 were injured. Meanwhile, police said that three Taliban fighters had been killed in Gurbuz. Separately, three Taliban were killed in Zabul late on Friday. Police said four policemen were injured in a blast in Kandahar.
