| The Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP) will not allow President General Pervez Musharraf to get himself re-elected from the present assemblies, JUP chief Shah Muhammad Ans Noorani told a press conference on Sunday. Noorani said that the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) was in contact with other opposition parties and MusharrafÂ’s re-election may lead to en-bloc resignations by the opposition, creating a national crisis. Noorani criticised law and order in Punjab and urged the Supreme Court to take notice of the deteriorating situation in the province and dismiss the PML government. |
