Kent State Jihadist/Professor
2007-03-01
By Mike S. Adams

Yesterday afternoon, I logged on to the "Global War" blog (global-war.bloghi.com) of Associate Professor Julio Pino – a Muslim convert who teaches at Kent State University. The heading for the site used to read "The Worldwide Web of Jihad: Daily News from the Most Dangerous Muslim in America." Now it reads "Are You Prepared for Jihad?" IN THE NAME OF OBL. 2007: THE YEAR OF ISLAMIC VICTORY!"

Hardly able to believe what I was reading, I called Pino at his office in Ohio around 4 p.m. According to his secretary, he had not been at work that day (he only has office hours two days of the week). He was drawing a paycheck from the people of the State of Ohio while trying to launch a Jihad against people like me. In fact, just five minutes before I called he posted an entry under the title "Crusaders CanÂ’t Take Anymore in Afghanistan!"

Pino began his morning of not going into his office at Kent State by penning a post under the title “Frightened British Crusaders Rush More Troops to Occupied Afghanistan.” Using terms like “occupation” and “Crusaders” it isn’t really necessary to read these posts in order to ascertain who this employee of the State of Ohio is rooting for in the War on Terror.

But, just in case you were curious about the purpose of this site, it is provided in the upper right corner: "We are a jihadist news service, and provide battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our brothers worldwide. All we want is to get Allah’s pleasure. We will write ‘Jihad’ across our foreheads, and the stars. The angels will carry our message throughout the world."

Despite his clear support of mass murder, he once complained that the Jews were engaged in genocide against the Palestinians. He claimed that as a result of that assertion, he was "harassed" and received "death threats."

But, just to be fair to Pino, he is more balanced in his teaching than a lot of my colleagues at UNC-Wilmington. In fact, heÂ’s even willing to criticize an occasional Democrat. He says that John F. Kennedy once planned "genocide against the Cuban people" in the 1960s. He also claims that President Bill Clinton killed "more than 500,000 Iraqi children" in the 1990s.

Although obsessed with the notion that America is being over-run by "Christian fascism," he has affectionately referred to his students his "little Jihadists" and his "beloved Taliban." In other words, he makes no bones about the fact that he works to indoctrinate, not educate, the children of the taxpayers of the State of Ohio.

#17  Seems like conditions are getting about right for old lessons to be relearned and the edge put back on everyone's thinking.

It is LONG overdue. There is a terrible mess to be cleaned up, I'm afraid we don't have the necessary facilities to hold all of the people that need to be *cough* reeducated.

#16  The best way to deal with pieces of sh$$ like this is to pull their funding and cut their class load to a third or less. Pretty soon, they get the message, when their computer doesn't connect to the school net, when their paychecks are always three months late, and their classes are all packed with Black Catholics there on a football scholarship.

#15  Never hired anyone from Kent State and probably never will. Most of the students that graduate from places like this are shocked and amazed to find how little value the mundane world of evil corporate greed places on their "knowledge" and how much less fun it is to live off welfare instead of Mom and Dad.

#14  Huge follow up details here. According to Free Republic You can contact Julio Pina at jpino@kent.edu

A Poster at Jihad Watch said the school has been contacted and they will be making a statement shortly.

#12  I taught for 25+ years in the university. I taught engineering. Many of my students were distant ed students in the military (Navy pilots, Marine pilots, and Army helicopter pilots). I taught the curriculum and my subject expertise. It is not right to get on a soapbox and spew your political philosophy. This is not academic freedom but fraud foisted upon the students. Get rid of them.

#11  What about an instructor on ‘abnormal psychologyÂ’ running a child pornography site?

Academic freedom was intended to cover what was covered in the classroom to discuss controversial subjects, it was not to fund behaviors outside that setting which seeks to destroy the very environment that permits academies to exist.

What particularly happens within a private university be it Harvard or Bob Jones is their problem or advantage to deal with. They’re beholding to the officers or officials who wield operational power to make or break it. A public university is the property of the people of the state. As such it is subject to the same conditions of employment as any other public employee. When KKK members or sympathizers can openly spout racial hatred on the same level as this cretin and retain a chair within same said university system, then talk me about ‘academic freedom’.

#10  Academic freedom? What about the contract with the university to teach in his field? What about the contract between you and the university for giveing you an education?

#9  If he is a resident alien, pull his visa. If he is naturalized, he's violated his oath of allegiance and revoke his citizenship. What he does in the classroom maybe be covered by 'academic freedom', what he does outside is not.

#8  Oops I meant First Amendmenyt.

#7  I supose that what he does on his spare time is his business nd covered by Second Amendmanet. Howver, if he or any other teacher, uses his chair for airing his political ideas, then sue him and ythe univeersity to death: you or your child aren't getting what you paid for (even if it is with your taxes), he is using tax payer ownedinstalltions for a private motive and the time he made you lose will translate later in a pootrest job. A miillion dolars per student seems me a reasonable minimum.

#6  I just don't get it. Why hasn't someone arrested this traitor? He is clearly giving aid to the enemy.

#5  ...Not at all surprising. When I was a USAF recruiter in Akron (about 15 minutes away) we were under strict orders not to go to the KSU campus for any but the most compelling of reasons an then only in civilian clothes. Every year the moonbats raise the bloody shirt where the 4 students were killed in 1970 - some years ago the college wanted to expand a parking lot that would have taken up about 80 square feet near where the students were killed, and the school damn near exploded again. For the last 37 years, the state of Ohio has allowed KSU to function not as a college but as some bizarre living reminder of the day the moonbats thought the Revolution had finally started, and the sooner that school gets put out of its misery the better off we'll all be.

#3  Just another sign of what a pathetic state the US system is in. Seems like conditions are getting about right for old lessons to be relearned and the edge put back on everyone's thinking.
