| Blast at barber shop |

| KOHAT: A barber’s shop in Darra Adam Khel was blown up here on Monday, after Taliban militants had warned barbers not to shave men’s beards because it was “un-Islamic”. Travellers from the area say that an explosive device had been placed at the shop in Akhorwal Market in the town. The blast damaged the shop, but no one was hurt. Pro-Taliban militants have been distributing pamphlets in towns of the NWFP and the tribal areas, warning barbers against shaving beards. |
