| #2 Sorry guys, this is my field. They've been trying to use independent valves for the better part of a century now, the problem is the speed that valves have to open and close, no method is fast enough but mechanical motion, hydraulics and electronic solenoids are roughly ten times too slow. it's a pipe dream that has no real chance of success. That said, variable valve timing is a reality, unsuccessful so far, but it has been done. The problem here is the more you complicate the valve train, the easier something breaks. If this idea succeeds, look for a mechanical system. |
