A Turkish soldier was killed and four others were wounded in clashes that broke out Saturday between Turkish security forces and rebels of the Kurdish Labor Party (PKK) in southeastern Anatolia, Turkish security sources said.The sources added that clashes broke out as security forces were engaged in a military operation against PKK rebels in the village of Lice, near the city of Diyarbakr. The wounded were taken to Diyarbakr Military Hospital for treatment, the said. The security forces have launched large-scale operations against PKK since the beginning of this spring, when the harsh climate there turned to mild and was in favor of the military operations.
