KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - A roadside bomb explosion killed a Canadian soldier and wounded another and an Afghan interpreter Friday, a military spokesman said. Corp. Matthew J. McCully was the 55th Canadian to die during the country's military mission in Afghanistan, officials said. It also brings to 55 the number of U.S. and NATO troops killed in the violence-plagued nation this year.The blast occurred during a joint Canadian-Afghan patrol in the Zhari district of Kandahar province, Canadian Navy Lt. John Nethercott said.
