The US and some European countries are evacuating their citizens from northern Iraq due to the Turkey's possible attack on Kurdistan. The Turkish army Friday warning came as the Anatolia news agency reported that Kurdish security forces in northern Iraq had earlier harassed Turkish soldiers at a checkpoint in the city of Sulaimaniyah. The US and Israeli military personnel, often disguised as members of security companies, train the militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) according to DEBKA-Net-Weekly on Saturday.

Turkey has concentrated 80,000 troops at Sirank where the borders of Syria-Turkey-Iraq converge. The Kurdish forces also deployed 25,000 to the Kandil Mountains of northern Iraq.
