#8  A large number of the Netters over at FREEREPUBLIC and other blogs are convinced AQ = Terror cells are already operating inside the USA, and that its only a matter of time before a Nuclear-WMD Terror device(s) goes off in Amer cities.

#7  I think the 800000 bond means someone is taking this seriously:
"Pipe bombs were found Saturday in the trunk of a car being driven by two Florida college students, according to court documents.

Now the men will have to post a combined $800,000 in bond to get out of jail, a circuit judge decided this afternoon.

Youseff Megahed, 21, and Ahmed Mohamed, 24, have been charged with possession of an incendiary device, Berkeley County Sheriff Wayne DeWitt announced today. If convicted of the charges, the men could face between 2 to 15 years in prison.

MohamedÂ’s bond was set at $500,000 while MegahedÂ’s was set at $300,000. "

#6  This is beginning to smell a lot like the Flying Imams -- a combination probe for security vulnerabilities with a setup designed to allow them to scream 'Islamophobia' if challenged.

#4  No names were given in the article but it said they were being held "pending charges". If charges are filed the authorities will have to give their names, won't they? Won't they?

#3  We now start another week of strange, but "..not connected with any known terror threats..." kind of incidents. The game is afoot, Watson.

#1  This was reported on the Burg yesterday. What's new on Spencer's site is that the two are now charged with felonies, although the feds are being very tightlipped about what was in the car.

And while the local paper said However, the FBI has already said the men are not suspected of orchestrating a terrorist plot, other reports give a much more careful statement:

At this point, it is too early in the investigation to say there is any link to terrorism

Not the same thing at all ....
