Dan Rather sues CBS, Viacom for $70M
2007-09-19 | |
Hey, it worked for Imus... NEW YORK - Former CBS news anchor Dan Rather filed a $70 million lawsuit Wednesday against the network, former corporate parent Viacom Inc., and three of his former bosses. And all he did was insult some chick basketball players. Since I slandered a president, I should get much more... Rather's complaint stems from "CBS' intentional mishandling" of the aftermath of a discredited story about President George W. Bush's time in the Texas Air National Guard. So CBS intentionally mishandled your discredited story that you intentionally mishandled? Baliff! Whack his peepee!
Who to root for in this one... Rather is seeking $20 million in compensatory damages and $50 million in punitive damages. Okay, Kenneth...how much to settle up?
