Ma'an – Israeli forces killed three Palestinians in two separate attacks in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday, on the eve of the Annapolis peace summit. An Israeli aerial drone killed a Palestinian resistance fighter and injured four others in the Sheikh Zayid area in the northern Gaza Strip. Local Palestinian sources said the man killed by the missile attack was twenty-four-year-old Musab Al-Jaabee, an activist in the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. Medical teams evacuated the wounded and deceased to Kamal Adwan hospital in northern Gaza.Israeli sources said that two homemade Palestinian projectiles landed in the Western Negev desert earlier on Monday. No connection between the fighters targeted in the airstrike and those projectiles has been verified. Later on Monday, an Israeli missile killed two Palestinians and injured a third in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun. Israeli media said warplanes attacked Palestinian mortar launching positions.
Muawiya Hassanain, the director of ambulance and emergency services in the Palestinian Health Ministry said that Israeli officials asked the department to send ambulances to the northern Gaza Strip to collect two Palestinian corpses. Local sources could not identify the deceased as fighters or civilians.
