Ma'an – The Israeli military announced the end of its invasion of the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday morning. The incursion left 6 Palestinian activists dead and several others wounded. Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak described the operation as ‘achieving significant gains’ against Palestinian groups launching of homemade projectiles at Israeli towns bordering Gaza Strip.Later on Wednesday the Israeli security cabinet met to discuss Israeli military action against the Gaza Strip. However, the cabinet were unable to reach a decision on whether to launch a full-scale invasion of the coastal region. A senior Israeli official said that Israel is getting closer to launching a large-scale military operation.
