| Farmers warned not to sell lambs to Muslims who want them for religious sacrifice |

| Environmental health chiefs are warning farmers against the illicit practice after one was approached by a group of Muslims wanting to ritually sacrifice 40 lambs. PETA? The men approached farmer Alan Davies asking to buy and illicitly kill lambs on his land as part of the Eid celebrations which start today. Sounds like Islam, wake up and kill something Mr Davies, 58, of Pinfold Farm, Ribchester, Lancs, alerted health officers after men came knocking at his door on two separate occasions. Environmental health chiefs across East Lancashire have since sent out hundreds of letters to farms asking for people to remain vigilant and launched an operation aimed at cracking down on the "inhumane practice." The slaughter of animals has always been part of Eid celebrations but there is an increasing trend for people to want to carry out the slaughter themselves rather than leave it to an expert. Great work of an unemployed jihadist, problem is they typically blow themselves and the animals up Mr Davies, who has a sign outside his Preston Road farm saying "Lambs For Sale" said he was disgusted when he was approached by the men. Anyone with towels on their heads would scary a farmer, can't blame them, not typical field gear He said: "Two Asian men and a woman pulled up in a black cab and asked my wife Anne about the lambs for sale. They said they wanted between 30 to 40 lambs that they could slaughter on our land." Louder, PETA! Eamonn Roberts, a senior environmental health officer for Ribble Valley Council, said: "Trained slaughtermen use very sharp knives but in the cases where it is being done illegally we have no way of knowing how the animals are being killed. They could be using blunt knives causing distress to the animals." PETA, hello you kitten killers!? Oh never mind Sacrificing an animal, usually a sheep, is a religious practice performed at Eid-ul-Adha. It commemorates the time when the Prophet Ibrahim was willing to sacrifice his son for Allah. Lancashire Council of Mosques chairman Hamid Quershi condemned the illegal slaughters and said letters would be issued in mosques warning people. And the warning will have what affect? | #6 I thought it was a ram. But at any rate, prayer services were intended as a substitute for animal sacrifices. On the other hand, it was my understanding that there is a difference between a sacrifice offering and slaughter for consumption... but I'm not exactly an expert on the subject. |

| #4 Muslims just can't get their Koran right. Genesis says that Abraham (not Ibraham) slaughtered a goat (not a lamb) that he found/provided by God (not purchased) with its horns tangled in briars nearby the altar on a mount, not on a farm. |

| #2 I think "eid" means "feast" or "holiday." Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan. I think Eid al-Adha marks the Profit's mirculous cure of the clap. |

| #1 how many eids a year are there? do they look up and see a full moon and think 'gee time for me to go slaughter something'? And by the way, an angel interrupted Abraham before killing his son or was that part left out of the plagerism. so, yeah, your ritual is blasphomous. Go do something about it. I guess as the lustice troll pointed out God is different than allah (wait, infidels can't write that word! Yea, Fu@k off and watch me type - the farmers out here do not tremble at such things nor do I). BTW check the photo link - what is going on in picture 6!? Oh my goodness, naughty naughty thing showing too much hoof. |
