Kurdish rebel gives himself up to Turkish security forces |

(KUNA) -- A Kurdish rebel belonging to the outlawed PKK has surrendered to Turkish security forces in southeastern Turkey, the Turkish army said here Friday. The Kurdish rebel fled a PKK camp in north Iraq due to intensive pressure by the rebel organization on him before he gave himself up willingly to security forces, the Turkish army said in a release. The PKK has been embroiled in sharp splits and divisions, prompting several elements to flee camps, the release quoted the Kurd as saying. |
