One police officer, one terrorist dead in southern Thai gun battle

A police officer and a suspected terrorist insurgent were killed in a clash early Tuesday in Yala province, police said.

The clash took place as security forces surrounded a house in Bannang Sata district where terrorists insurgents believed to be members of the Runda Kumpulan Kecil (RKK) group to be hiding. Terrorists Insurgents and security forces began shooting for about 5 minutes, before the terrorists militants fled the scene, leaving a dead terrorist insurgent behind. The terrorist militant was a 27-year-old Muslim wanted on an arrest warrant in relation to a raid on a police station two years ago.

Also in Yala, two terrorists insurgents shot a villager in Krong Pinang district on Tuesday morning.

#1  Thailand needs to get its act together. There should ALWAYS be more terrorists killed than non-terrorists. Forget the Bhuddist admonition against killing - your muslim adversaries don't have it. If you don't kill them, they will kill more, causing Bhudda greater pain and seriously lowering your chance to come back in the next life as a cat.
