About HijabGirl™
2008-02-07
From a GoogleAd in my gmail...
Who is she?
HijabGirl™ is an American born Muslim woman whose real identity remains hidden. Post 9/11, HijabGirl™ witnessed an alarming growth in prejudice against Muslims in North America. In particular, Muslim sisters in hijab were an easily identifiable target. As a result, they had to endure uncomfortable stares and mumbled anti-Muslim comments on a regular basis. In worse cases, they have been subjected to verbal and physical attacks. This unacceptable level of prejudice and its impact on sisters prompted HijabGirl™ to take action.

What is her mission?
HijabGirl's mission is to serve her sisters in four ways:
1. By establishing an online forum where sisters can share their experiences and discuss issues relating to hijab. This online forum will be established in the coming months inshaAllah, and is for sisters only. HijabGirl™ will notify you of the forum launch by e-mail. Please enter your e-mail address in the subscription box above.
2. By making hijabs more affordable and increasing the variety on offer. By December 2007, HijabGirl™ intends to offer over 10,000 high quality hijabs at prices as low as $2.95.
3. By supporting and helping sisters who want to wear the hijab but are finding it difficult to take this step.
4. By presenting the truth about Islam to non-Muslims by demonstrating, through our behavior, that Islam is a religion of peace.

Why are some trying to stop her?
Unfortunately, some people do not want to live in a multi-cultural world. They are determined to maintain their level of ignorance and are eager to eliminate any lifestyle that doesn't correspond with their world view. Anti-hijab regimes, bigots, and many others fall into this category.

How can you help?
You can help in four ways:
1. HijabGirl™ is determined to make hijabs more affordable. The more hijabs you buy, the more power she has to negotiate lower prices from hijab suppliers passing on those savings to you.
2. Spread the word. Tell all the sisters you know about www.HijabGirl.com. The forum will be launched soon. This forum is for the sisters, by the sisters. Let's get every sister we know on this forum sharing their experiences, offering advice, and supporting one another.
3. Send HijabGirl™ links about hijab-related articles. HijabGirl™ will be developing a page that contains links to articles or news concerning the hijab.
4. Subscribe to HijabGirl's monthly newsletter. Every month HijabGirl™ udertakes mission to source hijabs from suppliers around the world, shipping them to the USA and offering them to you at the lowest prices possible. She sends a monthly newsletter to you informing you of her latest mission. Enter your e-mail address in the subscription box above so HijabGirl™ can send you this monthly newsletter.

Acknowledgements
HijabGirl™ would like to thank the restaurants of Qasr Al-Sonouber and Trio in Amman, Jordan for permitting use of their premises for photo shooting purposes.

#8  The hijab and bad boys are made for each other. That is, snatch-and-grab of hijabs should just be common horseplay. The trick is to tell the boys that once they snatch it, don't keep it, put it in the garbage.

It could be a grand game.

#6  The hijab is quite common here in DC - they're all over the local mall here in McLean, and the hijab girls seem to be avid shoppers. What is more disturbing is the recent appearance of the black ghosts - the full burqa including face covering.

She's talking about Osama, right? Oh...she's not?

I bet HijabGirl is a man, anyway. Talk about a brilliant way to pull some hot jihadette action.
