LAHORE — Five alleged terrorists involved in suicide attack on the building of the Federal Investigation Agency on Temple Road three months ago have been arrested. FIA director Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed told reporters here yesterday that three of the accused belonged to outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. Four hand grenades, some automatic weapons, time devices and explosives have also been recovered from their possession.
The March 11 attacks had killed several people and badly damaged the eight-storey building.
Manzoor claimed that the accused planned to target many important national installations. The official chief said the arrests were a big victory on the part of his organisation. |
