(VOI)- Iraqi army forces arrested nine wanted men and found a weapons cache on Tuesday in separate areas in Ninewa, the official spokesman for the Ninewa operations command said. “The 3rd division forces of the Iraqi army managed to arrest two wanted men in al-Rabiyea border region,” Brigadier Khaled Abdul Sattar told Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of Iraq (VOI).

Rabiyea is located 120 km west of Mosul, the capital of Ninewa province, which lies 405 km north of Baghdad. “Two more wanted men were arrested in al-Abbasiya village in Sinjar, northwest of Mosul, and three Kalashnikovs were found in their possession,” he added.

Meanwhile, the brigadier said that “a force from the 2nd division of the Iraqi army arrested five wanted men during an operation in al-Islah al-Zeraei neighborhood in western Mosul.”

“The force found a weapons depot in al-Maamoun neighborhood in western Mosul. The depot contains 2 Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG), 16 missiles, two bombs and a gun,” he also said.
