PLO takes official action on closed Nablus organizations |
2008-07-14 |
Ma'an - Palestinian officials are slated to meet with Israeli authorities on Sunday to discuss the recent Israeli army orders given to several charities and shopping locations in Nablus to close their doors. Following these meetings, at least seven Executive Committee members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) will participate in an official visit to Nablus Monday, according to committee member Ghassan Ash-Shak'a. Members of the executive committee will take a tour of the Nablus locations which the Israeli army ordered closed as of 15 August, and will later meet with city representatives and local residents in order to review the present situation. Ash-Shak'a told Ma'an he was not optimistic about the scheduled meetings between Palestinian and Israeli officials. |
