According to the Pakistani daily, Dawn, the tribesmen attacked each other's positions with mortar shells, missiles and rockets. Sources said that the Turi tribesmen had repelled an attack by the rival tribe. A jirga or meeting of leaders from six Bangash tribes was held in central Kurram to discuss ceasefire proposals but failed to make any progress. | |
